Searching for the best SIM-only mobile plan

I finally managed to convince my husband to switch his mobile plan, but was too lazy to redo my research among all the new plans and telcos in the market. Luckily for Seedly’s latest SIM-only comparison tool, which saved me hours of manually computing the data otherwise.

For the past 2 years, my husband has been paying a ridiculous sum of $100+ each month to Starhub.

Well, not anymore.

When I first suggested the switch, I compared against the different options in the market for a SIM-only plan. At that time, it was easy because there were only a handful of providers – folks like redONE, Grid Mobile, VIVIFI and TPG Mobile didn’t exist then. Fast forward to today where several new virtual telcos have entered the market, putting the grand total at 13 operators as we speak.

Comparing against 5 plans is hard enough, so imagine having to compare among so many. How are we supposed to keep up?

Luckily for Seedly’s SIM-only comparison tool, we no longer have to.

The tool pits together all the different competitors and their various offerings for you to compare, and you can key in your search parameters to find the plan that will work best for your lifestyle needs.

If data is your biggest concern, you can get by with as low as $8 a month with plans like redONE Amazing8, which gives you 3GB data, 100 minutes of talktime and 10 free SMS. Thanks to Seedly user reviews, I also found out that if this plan is extremely useful for folks who travel to Malaysia frequently because of the data roaming option. And if you exceed the data usage, it automatically gives you unlimited data thereafter at managed speeds. Not a bad deal indeed!

I also used the tool to search for a suitable plan for my husband, as his job involves a high volume of calls and SMS. Within seconds, we found our answer as the Seedly tool showed only 2 such plans – M1 and giga!

If you’re intending to switch as well, check out the tool to find the best plan for your lifestyle within seconds.

Thanks Seedly for coming up with this initiative!

With love,
Budget Babe
